Come Discover

Step back in time and get a glimpse of early outport life at Random Passage. Originally constructed for the filming of an international mini-series, the Site offers a unique opportunity to be transported to the early 1800s, and experience the director’s vision of an isolated fishing outpost. Stroll around the Site and explore on your own, or take a guided tour.

Visitor orientation, ticket purchase, maps and other information are available in a beautifully restored one room schoolhouse, which also houses our licensed Tearoom. From the schoolhouse it is an approximately 10 minute walk along a gravel road to the Site.

Be sure to check out the new menu items, along with some traditional favourites in our Tearoom, and take time to browse through the gifts and crafts created by local artisans.

Also new at the schoolhouse this season: a Sunday afternoon series featuring traditional music and storytelling by our talented local performers. Stay tuned for additional pop up events throughout the summer.
